Hi! I thought it would be good to update my list of favorite places to shoot portraits in Tucson as I've been getting a lot of questions about places that no longer exist! One of those places is the pecan grove on i-10 and sunset. I remember driving past it and looking for it. I was in disbelief that it was actually gone! That being said, I'm going to update my list of locations that I recommend shooting photos in Tucson!
1. Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort
All my families loved it here and the staff that work here are super supportive and awesome! I didn't need a permit to shoot here but I always called ahead in case there was a wedding.
2. Sabino Canyon
This is my new favorite place to shoot all kinds of portraits!
3. Agua Caliente Park
I first discovered this hidden gem while on a retreat. It's a magical little oasis in the desert where I can escape and take pictures for hours.
4. The University of Arizona Main Campus
There are numerous spots you can find on campus to take beautiful photos, such as Old Main, Orange Grove trees, and in front of the Forbes building, to name a few...
5. Cotton Fields in Marana
6. Maynard's Market Downtown Tucson
7. Barrio Historico and La Cocina
8. Downtown Tucson
9. Degrazia Art Gallery in the Sun
10. Mt. Lemmon and Windy Point
11. Skyline Country Club
While that is it for my list of my top favorite photo spots, the list can truly go on! Feel free to message me on here if you feel that you are struggling to find a place for your own session and need more suggestions. However, I would highly encourage you to explore on your own. Maybe if you take an alternative route than what you're used to, you may discover a location that you never thought you could find. And the best part would be making memories in the process!
